Malaysia Visa

There are three types of visa for Foreign Citizen entering Malaysia: Single Entry Visa, Multiple Entry Visa, Transit Visa.

Single Entry Visa

This is issued to Foreign Citizen who enter Malaysia for social or business purposes. It is normally valid for Single Entry and for a period not exceeding three (3) months from the date of issuance.

Multiple Entry Visa

This is issued to Foreign Citizen who enter Malaysia for business or inter-governmental affairs. It is normally valid for a period of three (3) to twelve (12) months from the date of issuance. Each entry is for not more than thirty (30) consecutive days and extension are not allowed. Citizens of India (cost MYR 50) and the People's Republic of China (cost MYR 30), who wish to enter Malaysia for social visits, are eligible to apply for a Multiple Entry Visa.

Transit Visa

This is issued to Foreign Citizen who enter Malaysia while in-transit to another country. Foreign Nationals who will not be leaving the airport premises and who will journey to their destination country on the same flight as they arrived on do not require a Transit Visa.

Where to apply for Malaysia Visa?

Visa application can be apply at any nearest Malaysian Embassies and High Commissions Office Abroad. Application can also be made online through eVISA Portal (applicable for Tourist, Expatriate, Student and Medical Tourist from 10 countries (People Republic of China (PRC), India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Bhutan, Serbia and Montenegro only).
